ADSRI Director honored by University of Padua

Professor Peter McDonald will be honored by the University of Padua’s Padova Population Day 2010 Seminar on 14 September.
Professor of Demography and Director of the Australian Demographic and Social Research Institute (ADSRI) at ANU and President of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP), Peter McDonald's recent work has focused on theory relating to low fertility, the implications of low fertility for population futures and upon related policy options.
He is presently working on methods to evaluate the effectiveness of pronatalist policies and upon more precise measurement of cross-sectional fertility trends.
He will present at the conference on Why fertility is relatively high in English_Ρ�speaking countries?
